Epictech add Polecam to their arsenal of production weapons!

We've been using Polecams for a long time at EpicTech with the likes of Sony FX6, FS5, A7 and a range of other Canon and Panasonic cameras.

Over the past few years our live production workflow has moved to almost exclusively Blackmagic Design Cameras, with the release of the URSA Broadcast G2 giving us massive opportunity to offer enhanced quality work, and a broadcast style RCP workflow as well, being key to our higher end clients.

The URSA Broadcast takes broadcast style ENG glass, making it to large and heavy for the Polecam system, and therefore requiring us to use full size Jimmy Jibs where this style of movement was required.

With the release of the Micro Studio Camera G2, we saw a big opportunity to bring the Polecam offering back into our high end workflow, so we set about building a rig around this camera.

Our Polecam rig now features a Micro Studio Camera G2, with focus controlled from a Blackmagic Focus Demand. Zoom can be added with a Tilta Nucleus Nano as well. We haven't had to compromise on glass either, with the Panasonic Lumix 7-14mm offering excellent speed, and outstanding optical quality. The sensor on the G2 matches our URSAs and other Studio Cameras perfectly and can be painted right alongside them using the same hardware.

The result is a Polecam system that integrates seamlessly along side our highest end cameras to create some stunning visuals, and we created this little video in our warehouse to send out to prospect clients to show it's capabilities.
