POSITION - Lead Engineer
WORKING HOURS - Monday to Friday, 08:00 TO 16:00 but can be flexible
Oversee day-to-day operation of engineering department
Keep records of deliveries and supplies, and make them available to management for evaluation
A good understanding of manufacturing principles
General computer literacy, Outlook email, Word, Excel, (Sage knowledge an advantage), CAD experience, especially Co–Create or any other and experience in a PCB design software such as Eagle or similar
Develop production schedule for the execution of projects in a timely manner
Ensure that work materials/parts are present as and when needed.
Ordering stock
Liaise with customers regarding RMA’s
Design new products when opportunities arise
Use of 3D printer and design
Oversee customer returns/repairs from start to finish
Check finished products to ensure quality, and that industry standards are met before they are declared ready for use
Good soldering skills for PCB work, wire harness and cable assembly ideally to IPC 610/620 standards. Good eyesight with or without glasses necessary
Mechanical assembly and ability to read Mechanical and Electrical drawings
Understanding of Electronics
Electronic fault finding and wire tracing
Machining experience including mill and lathe
Instruction manuals for products
BOM files on all products
